She decided she wanted the colors to be pink, white and black. I contacted Cathy from 505 design + paperie to see if she could come up with something for us since I absolutely love her Barbie Surf Party from a couple of years ago!
Cathy did an amazing job! The printables we absolutely perfect and I LOVE the bakers hat on Barbie's head!
Fortunately I had save some of the decorations from her 4th Pinkalicious inspired party and we were able to reuse them!
The red changing table from my son's Vintage Train party got another quick makeover with some spray paint and made the bake shop!
I love having a sweets table at birthday parties and the showcase piece this time was her AMAZING Barbie Baker cake! I ordered it from a local gal Heather who owns Iced Out Edibles.
We also included some of the birthday girls favorite treats.
For our main activity my daughter decided to decorate mini cakes! Our dining room was the perfect setting for our cake decorating!
Each of the girls had a ziploc baggie of homemade buttercream in a mason jar at their station along with their own cake labeled with a washi tape pennant.
For party favors I sewed ruffle aprons! My amazing friend Jessica spent a whole Saturday at my house teaching me how to sew! Up until then I had never sewed a thing and I ended up sewing 8 aprons! She was kind enough to make a great (and easy) tutorial for us too!
We set up cake stands in the center of the table and had candy cups filled with various sprinkles. Perfect for cake decorating!
Each of the girls took home their creations in these sweet little baker boxes tied with bakers twine and an adorable label!
We also set up a fun little photo booth for each of the girls to have their picture taken! They absolutely loved being real-life Barbies!
Here's our birthday girl!
And one of her adorable little friends, Presley!
We had such a wonderful time celebrating our little princess!
